Rinne was pulled at the second intermission Thursday after allowing the Penguins four goals on 29 shots in what turned out to be a 5-2 loss.

Rinne was looking like he had his mojo back for a while there, but a yanking Monday followed by a loss to Dallas on Tuesday had him trending in the wrong direction coming into this tough road matchup against a Penguins team that's rediscovered its offensive flourish. The Finn continued in that wrong direction with the help of a Preds team that got dominated in every facet of the game. He's broadly been better at home, but the Sharks don't promise to make it easy on Rinne when they fly into Tennessee on Saturday.
