Putting Raanta in net gives the Blueshirts a chance to rest workhorse goalie Henrik Lundqvist, who has made 11 starts this season. Raanta made two starts of his own in October, yielding just one goal on 45 shots combined between the Sharks and Flames. This is the Finn's first road appearance of the young season.
