Rangers Release Tallinder From Tryout Offer

Tallinder was released Wednesday from his professional tryout at AHL Hartford, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.A rash of injuries on the Rangers' blue line in November prompted the team to bring Tallinder and Tomas Kaberle in for tryouts, but an opportunity to join the parent club never materialized. With the Rangers now at relative health on defense, Tallinder will leave the organization in pursuit of an opportunity for work elsewhere.
