Senators' Mike Kostka: Needs to clear waivers before AHL Binghamton stint

Kostka was assigned to AHL Binghamton on Wednesday and will have to clear waivers Thursday to make it official, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.

Kostka made 15 appearances last season with Ottawa, mostly due to the fact that they were suffering in the injury department. The blueliner dropped just one helper during his campaign, and now heading toward 31 years of age, he's not expected to make much noise moving forward.
