Kuemper (upper body) is slated to back up Devan Dubnyk on Tuesday against the Kings, Chad Graff of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
With Kuemper -- who relayed Tuesday that his upper-body injury wasn't a concussion -- now back in action, fellow goalie Steve Michalek is headed back to the AHL.
