Dubnyk gave up three goals in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Capitals.

The Caps scored on an empty net in the third to seal Dubnyk's fate -- his ninth-straight loss. It's starting to get ugly for the 29-year-old, but if there's a silver lining, he was able to save 29 of 32 shots, easily the most he's brushed aside during the losing skid. Against the top-ranked offense in the NHL, the effort was there, but unfortunately, the result was not. It would be wise to look elsewhere at the goalie position.
