Pebble Beach winner Brandt Snedeker cites a rib injury as the reason he won't compete at the match play championship.

Brandt Snedeker, the hottest player in the world right now, has officially withdrawn from the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, scheduled for next week.
According to a statement on the World Golf Championships website, Snedeker started feeling soreness in his ribs at the Humana Challenge and it flared up last week at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
I'd say he played pretty solidly for a guy not fully healthy.
Here's what Snedeker had to say about the injury:
I certainly will miss competing in the Accenture Match Play Championship, and I really do appreciate what Accenture does to make that one of the premier events on our schedule.
He will not play the Honda Classic either but will try to return for the WGC-Cadillac Championship, an event he finished T45 at last year.
I thought this summed it up better than anything else:
