At Joe Maddon's urging, Tsuyoshi Wada tells media he's a 'badass'

Tsuyoshi Wada pitched very well on Wednesday night, and his manager taught him a new way to characterize himself.

The Cubs on Wednesday night mercilessly pummelled the Indians by the score of 17-0 (box score). Buried under that pile of runs is a gem of an outing by Cubs starter Tsuyoshi Wada. Wada twirled 7.0 shutout innings, allowing four hits and striking out six against just two walks. 

Wada, a native of Japan who's in his second season in the U.S. major leagues, is not fluent in English, but after Wednesday's outing, his manager, Joe Maddon, taught him a useful way to describe himself.
