The Dodgers recalled outfielder Chris Heisey from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday. To clear a roster spot, reliever Sergio Santos was designated for assignment.
Heisey has appeared in just three games this season for Los Angeles, batting . 200 (1 for 5) with two strikeouts and five walks.
Santos, who was the White Sox's closer in 2011, posted a 4.73 ERA in 12 relief appearances for the Dodgers. He had 15 strikeouts and seven walks in 13 1/3 innings.
