Lonnie Chisenhall

Indians third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall will miss at least a month after suffering a broken bone in his right forearm after being hit by a pitch from Orioles left-hander Troy Patton in the fifth inning of the Indians' loss.

Chisenhall, 23, will undergo surgery next week to repair the broken ulna bone and he'll miss four-to-six weeks, the team said.

"We had a bad feeling about it," Indians manager Manny Acta said after the game (via the Cleveland Plain Dealer). "The ball got him pretty square. The sound of it wasn't good.

"It's not good news, especially for the kid. Just to stabilize the bone, he'll need surgery."

Chisenhall was 1 for 2 on Friday and is hitting .278/.297/458 in 24 games since being called up from Triple-A. He's split time at third base with veteran Jack Hannahan.
