Cleveland Indians southpaw Ryan Merritt was an unlikely star of Game 5 of the American League Championship Series, spinning 4 2/3 scoreless innings against the Toronto Blue Jays just days after most of us learned of his existence.
As it turns out, Indians fans made another discovery during the game -- that being Merritt's online wedding registry:

Predictably, those same Indians fans started purchasing items for the soon-to-be-newlyweds as a way to pay back Merritt for his heroics:
