Yankees" data-canon="New York Yankees" data-type="SPORTS_OBJECT_TEAM" id="shortcode0"> right fielder Nick Swisher will sit out the team's series with Batlimore and have his ailing left hamstring re-examined on Friday, according to CBSSports.com Insider Jon Heyman.

Although the hamstring strain has been deemed "minor," it's been a recurring problem, so the team is not only concerned, but moving forward cautiously. The team hopes he can avoid the disabled list, but it's uncertain.

Swisher left Sunday's game against the Tigers after he drew a walk in the third inning. He was replaced by Andruw Jones.

Swisher is hitting .284/.355/.617 with six homers. His 23 RBI are the most on the team and second-best in the American League.
