With the Rays moving to a NL park on Wednesday, Joey Butler was not in the starting lineup at Washington. He had started the last 21 games for Tampa Bay.
Butler has been on an offensive tear since late May. He is batting .360 (31 for 86) with a .523 slugging percentage, .912 OPS, two home runs, eight doubles, 10 RBI, 10 runs and four stolen bases in his last 22 games.
