Outfielder Joey Butler continues to hit for average and power, as his sixth-inning home run kickstarted a rally that led to an eventual 5-3 victory Thursday for the Rays.
Butler cracked his fifth homer to right field off Nationals starter Doug Fister, opening the floodgates for a four-run frame. Butler is now hitting .331 on the season and nearly .350 in June, with 21 hits in the month.
