The Pirates have promoted catcher Tony Sanchez from Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday. Additionally, the team reinstated right-hander Stolmy Pimentel from the disabled list. The team also selected contract of right-hander John Holdzkom and optioned him to Triple-A. Chris McGuiness was designated for assignment to open a spot on 40-man roster.
