The Angels are trying to deal outfielder Vernon Wells, according to FoxSports.com’s Ken Rosenthal.

It might prove difficult to deal the 33-year-old outfielder, however, as he is still owed $42 million over the next two seasons. Wells also has a no-trade clause, and can veto a trade to any team. As Rosenthal notes, the Angels would have to cover a fair amount of Wells’ remaining contract in a deal.

Wells hit just .230/.279/.403 in 262 plate appearances last season.
