The Giants are in "advanced negotiations" with free-agent right-handed reliever Brandon Lyon, according to CSNBayArea.com's Andrew Baggarly.

Baggarly also reports that if the Giants sign Lyon, it'll likely be their last move of the offseason, meaning they would no longer have interest in bringing former closer Brian Wilson back.

Lyon, 33, has 79 saves in his 11-year career but just one last season. Pitching for Houston and Toronto in 2012, Lyon went 4-2 with a 3.10 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 63 strikeouts in 61 innings. Lyon's strikeout rate of 9.3 K/9 last season far surpassed his former career high of 7.6 K/9, set in 2003.
