The Kansas City Royals this morning activated outfielder Lorenzo Cain from the 60-day DL, and second baseman Chris Getz from the 15-day DL, per the team's official Twitter account. Pitcher Nate Adcock and infielder Irving Alu were optioned to Triple-A Omaha.

Cain has been out since early April, after suffering a groin strain. He was hitting .133/.176/.133 when he hit the DL. Jarrod Dyson took his place in center field, but his .607 OPS isn't worth calling home about.

In 36 games and 100 at-bats this season, Getz was batting .290/.327/.380, with no home runs and 8 RBI, before hitting the DL with a lateral strain in his lower left leg. Yuniesky Betancourt took over second base in his absence.
