One month into the 2017 season, perhaps the biggest story in baseball has been Brewers slugger Eric Thames hitting like Barry Bonds in his return to MLB following three seasons in Korea. He doesn't chase out of the strike zone, and when pitchers come over the plate, he punishes them. Thames is currently hitting .350/.475/.838 (238 OPS+) with an MLB leading 11 home runs.
In Korea, where Thames played with the NC Dinos from 2014-16, fans sing songs and have an individual cheer for every player on the team. They do it in Japan too. If you watched the World Baseball Classic at all last month, you probably heard it at some point. Each player gets his own song during his at-bats. It's pretty cool.
With Thames hitting home runs left and right, the Brewers have decided to bring his cheer song from Korea to Miller Park this season. Check it out:

That's pretty cool. Thames was a megastar in Korea -- he hit .349/.451/.721 with 124 home runs and 64 steals in 390 games from 2014-16 and was named league MVP in 2015 -- and now he'll get to enjoy a little of his NC Dinos experience with the Brewers.
