Tim Byrdak takes another step toward MLB return

Mets reliever Tim Byrdak, who is working his way back from shoulder surgery, was promoted from Class A St. Lucie to Double-A Binghamton Sunday, according to ESPN. Byrdak was 1-1 with a 2.19 ERA, three saves and .146 opponents' batting average in 14 appearances for St. Lucie.
