The Twins announced that right-handed pitcher Tim Stauffer has been reinstated from the disabled list and will be available for Friday’s game in Chicago against the White Sox. Stauffer missed 19 games with a right intercostal strain. He allowed three earned runs over five innings of work while rehabbing for Triple-A Rochester.
In a corresponding move, Minnesota optioned infielder Doug Bernier to Triple-A Rochester. Bernier appeared in four games, hitting .200 (1 for 5) during his stint with the big-league club.
