Sunday night at Yankee Stadium, the Yankees immortalized longtime captain Derek Jeter in Monument Park with a plaque. They also retired his No. 2. Every single digit number has now been retired by the Yankees.

Among the many people in attendance for the ceremony was Jalen Jeter Martin, Derek's nephew. You may remember Jalen tipping his cap to Jeter following his walk-off single in his final game at Yankee Stadium.

Prior to Sunday night's ceremony, Jalen asked if he could wear No. 2 when he plays for the Yankees. Uncle Derek shot him down though:

That's cold. You'd think Jeter would be okay with a fellow Jeter wearing No. 2, but the best Jalen could get out of him was a "I might let you wear it." Derek is very protective of his #brand, I see.
