Here's your feel-good story of the day. You probably heard about how Cardinals Hall of Famer Lou Brock had the sub-knee portion of his left leg amputated back in October -- an unfortunate effect from his long-standing battle with diabetes. Well, Brock has since been fitted with a prosthetic leg, and seems to be doing as well as can be expected.
Need some evidence for that assertion? Brock not only attended the Cardinals' home opener -- he threw out the first pitch:
