The Chicago White Sox built up starting pitcher depth by re-signing Jake Peavy and exercising the option for Gavin Floyd, and general manager Rick Hahn expects teams to contact the White Sox in search of starting pitching this offseason, according to CSNChicago.com's Dan Hayes.

Along with Peavy and Floyd, the White Sox have Chris Sale, John Danks, Jose Quintana and Hector Santaigo as rotation candidates, as well as minor-leaguers Nestor Molina and Simon Castro as potential rotation options for 2013.

The pitcher the White Sox would most likely hope to trade is Floyd, who is due to make $9.5 million after the club exercised his option. Among the White Sox's most pressing needs this offseason is third base.
