Yankees right fielder Carlos Beltran will likely sit out some of the games in the upcoming series at Miami.

Beltran's range and defense has been shaky this year, and manager Joe Girardi plans to have Garrett Jones play right field in the spacious right field in Miami.

"We knew when we got him, he wasn't the center fielder he was back in the day. We knew that," Girardi said of Beltran, per MLB.com. "Our ballpark being a shorter distance between home and right, it doesn't play in as much. But you get to some of these other parks and it plays in a little bit."

Despite the upcoming move, Beltran will get the bulk of playing time in right going forward.

"Carlos has been our right fielder," Girardi said. "My plan is for Carlos to be our right fielder."
