Giants' Ryan Webb: Inks minor-league deal with Giants
Webb has signed a minor-league deal with the Giants and will report to Triple-A Sacramento, Steve Adams of MLB Trade Rumors reports.
The 31-year-old was released by the Brewers last week after making just three appearances in spring training. Webb spent most of last season in the Rays' organization, where he posted a 5.19 ERA and a 1.73 WHIP over 18 relief appearances. He'll likely be limited to serving as organizational depth before having another shot at the majors.

Ryan Webb: Released by Milwaukee
Webb was released Wednesday by the Brewers.
Webb was only able to make three appearances with the Brewers in Cactus League play, which didn't provide adequate opportunity for him to seriously contend for a bullpen spot. The journeyman middle reliever has been steady, if unspectacular, in a setup role for much of his career, but after turning in a 5.19 ERA and 1.73 WHIP in 18 appearances with the Rays last season, Webb will likely have to settle for a minor-league contract first before getting another opportunity in the big leagues.

Brewers' Ryan Webb: Signs minor league pact with Brewers
Webb signed a minor league deal with the Brewers on Tuesday that includes an invitation to spring training.
He has a career 3.43 ERA, but has just 271 strikeouts in 393.1 innings, and his ERA and strikeout rate both took steps back in 2016. Look for him to compete for a low-leverage role with the Brewers.

White Sox's Ryan Webb: Signs contract with White Sox
Webb was signed by the White Sox on Friday, and assigned to Triple-A Charlotte, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
Webb was recently released by the Rays on Wednesday, having posted a 5.19 ERA during 17.1 innings of work with the club this season. The 30-year-old has spent some time in the Rays' minor league system in 2016 also, allowing three earned runs in 3.2 innings of work between Triple-A Durham and High-A Charlotte. He will likely be used as organizational depth for the White Sox, but could get a chance at the major league level again later this summer.

Ryan Webb: Released by Rays
Webb cleared waivers and was released by the Rays on Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Times' Marc Topkin reports.
He posted a 5.19 ERA in 17.1 innings out of the Rays' bullpen prior to being DFA'd in late June. Considering he cleared waivers, Webb will be seeking a minor league deal with a team looking for organizational bullpen depth.

Webb (pectoral) could be activated "in the next few days" after a successful rehab appearance Monday for Triple-A Durham, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The 30-year-old fired a clean inning while striking out two, setting the stage for a possible return to the big league club later in the week. Webb's Monday outing was the best of the three he's had during the rehab process, as he'd given up an earned run in each of the first two trips to the mound for the Bulls. He's generated a solid 3.31 ERA over 16.1 innings for the Rays this season, with no holds or saves to his credit.

Webb (pectoral) will make his second rehab appearance for Triple-A Durham on Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The veteran reliever reported no setbacks after his first appearance, which came Wednesday night. Webb surrendered two hits and an earned run over 0.2 innings in that contest, with both outs coming on strikeouts. Rays' Ryan Webb: Pectoral injury traces back several days
Webb's pectoral injury, which has landed him on the disabled list, traces back to a May 26 outing versus the Marlins, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The veteran reliever was on the hill for a second consecutive game on May 26 when he apparently suffered the injury, according to manager Kevin Cash. Webb was touched up for three hits and an earned run in less than inning in that outing, the first time he'd given up a run since May 3. With the soreness persisting for multiple days, the team opted to give the 30-year-old some time to heal. "He just hasn't quite kicked it," Cash said. "We don't think it's ... too big of a deal. We just want to be cautious."

Rays' Ryan Webb: Placed on DL with pectoral strain
Webb was placed on the DL on Sunday due to a right pectoral strain, freelance Rays writer Roger Mooney reports.
The 30-year-old hasn't appeared in the last three games, but the Rays provided no indication he was dealing with an injury. With Webb heading to the DL, Brad Boxberger (abdomen) will be activated Monday in a corresponding move.

Rays' Ryan Webb: Turns in solid work during extended relief stint Sunday
Webb had what manager Kevin Cash termed "his best outing" in Sunday's 9-4 loss to the Tigers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The 30-year-old was needed for what was easily his longest stint of the season, due to starter Chris Archer's ouster from the game after only three innings. Webb responded with three innings of two-hit, shutout ball, and struck out a trio of Tigers in the process. It marked his sixth consecutive scoreless outing, and brought his shrinking ERA down to 3.00, a far cry from the 5.63 figure he owned after a May 3 appearance versus the Dodgers.

Rays' Ryan Webb: Logs fourth straight scoreless appearance Tuesday
Webb surrendered only one hit in a scoreless eighth inning in Tuesday's 12-2 victory over the Blue Jays.
The 30-year-old reliever has now turned in four straight scoreless appearances since giving up five hits and three runs (two earned) over 1.2 innings over a pair of outings in late April and early May. He also escaped with just some residual swelling when a line drive struck off his glove, hitting him on the side of his jaw. Webb has been effective for the short stretches of work he's been tabbed for, pitching no more than 1.1 innings in any trip to the mound this season. He's in the midst of a solid stretch, having lowered his ERA almost two full runs to 3.75 over his last four appearances.

Webb surrendered two hits and an earned run in an inning of work in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Red Sox. He also struck out a batter.
The veteran righty gave up his first run since the opener versus the Blue Jays, but was sharp otherwise. Webb got 11 of his 16 offerings into the strike zone, and recorded a strikeout for the third time in his four appearances. With a plethora of arms in the Rays bullpen, Webb has seen eight and six days go by, respectively, between his last two trips to the mound, time frames which may contribute to some up-and-down performances if they become the norm. He's generated a 6.23 ERA over 4.1 innings of work so far in 2016.
