Reds' Kyle Skipworth: Outrighted to Double-A Pensacola
Skipworth (ankle) cleared waivers, was activated from the DL, and was outrighted to Double-A Pensacola on Thursday.
Skipworth had been playing in extended spring training as part of his rehab assignment but will now head to Double-A Pensacola, where he hit .267/.294/.267 with one RBI in four games earlier this season.

Reds' Kyle Skipworth: Continuing rehab in extended spring training
Skipworth (ankle) is playing games in extended spring training in Arizona as part of his rehab.
Note, this is not an official rehab assignment - a player has to play games at one of the organization's minor league affiliates before the rehab assignment clock starts. Extended spring training is not part of that matrix. Skipworth is eligible to be activated from the 60-day DL on Thursday, but so far there's no indication that he's close to returning.

Reds' Kyle Skipworth: Transferred to 60-day DL
Skipworth (ankle) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Sunday.
This procedural roster move will allow the Reds to open up a spot on the 40-man roster for Sunday's starter, Tim Adleman. Skipworth will continue to rehab his injury in the meantime, though the odds of seeing meaningful time at the major league level this season remain slim.

Reds' Kyle Skipworth: Placed on the 15-day DL
Skipworth (ankle) was placed on the 15-day DL by the Reds on Sunday, C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Skipworth will draw a major league salary by virtue of being on the 40-man roster this spring while rehabbing his injury. He'll get sent down as soon as he's healthy, barring a string of catcher injuries for the Reds.

Reds' Kyle Skipworth: Likely to open the season on the DL
Skipworth (ankle) is expected to begin the season on the disabled list.
He did not appear in a spring training game for the Reds because of the injury, which makes it likely that he'll be on the shelf until late April at the earliest. Once he's healthy enough to return, Skipworth is no more than the backup to Devin Mesoraco.

Reds' Kyle Skipworth: Recovering from ankle surgery
Skipworth underwent ankle surgery in December and will not be ready for the start of spring training, MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports.
There hasn't been any mention of a timetable or the nature of Skipworth's surgery. In any case, he's likely no higher than fourth on the organizational catching depth chart, sitting behind all of Devin Mesoraco, Tucker Barnhart and Ramon Cabrera.
