Angels' Rob Rasmussen: Claimed by Angels
Rasmussen was claimed off waivers by the Angels on Wednesday, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
Rasmussen is one of two left-handed relievers claimed by the Angels on Wednesday, joining Bobby LaFromboise. He pitched for the Blue Jays and Mariners last season before being DFA'd by Seattle earlier in December, posting a 9.98 ERA in 15.1 innings of work.

Mariners' Rob Rasmussen: Designated for assignment
Rasmussen was designated for assignment Monday.
With the signing of Steve Cishek, the Mariners needed to make room on the 40-man roster and Rasmussen was the casualty. He struggled mightily in limited time in the big leagues last season, working to a 9.98 ERA in 15.1 innings but had success in the minors, so he could find himself back with the parent club at some point.
