Valle was reassigned to minor league camp Saturday, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
The Mariners made a pair of roster moves Saturday to trim down the number of players in major league camp with Opening Day approaching. Valle, a non-roster invitee, should see significantly more playing time in minor league camp after seeing just six plate appearances in big league camp.

Mariners' Sebastian Valle: Signs minor league deal with Mariners
Valle signed a minor league deal with the Mariners that includes an invitation to spring training, the Tacoma News Tribune's Bob Dutton reports.
The 26-year-old has never reached the majors, and while he has experience at Triple-A, he spent all of 2016 with the Yankees' Double-A affiliate. He is a glove-first catcher whose aptitude for working with young pitchers is his primary contribution. Valle is unlikely to reach the big leagues in 2017.

Yankees' Sebastian Valle: Receives invitation to spring training
Valle received an invitation to spring training Friday, Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal reports.
Valle spent 2015 with the Pirates' Double-A affiliate, where he put up a decent .754 OPS. However, the Yankees catching situation is pretty well set, so he'll likely head back to the minors after spring training is over.

Yankees' Sebastian Valle: Signs with Yankees
Valle agreed to a minor league contract with the Yankees on Wednesday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
Valle spent the entire 2015 season at Double-A, slashing .279/.341/.413 with the Phillies' organization. The Yankees upper level catching appears to be accounted for though, so Valle will simply serve as organizational depth.
