T.J. House: Cut loose by White Sox
The White Sox released House on Tuesday.
The lefty has pitched exclusively at Triple-A Charlotte this season, supplying a 6.81 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 24:18 K:BB in 39.2 innings. Once a promising young arm in the Cleveland organization, the 28-year-old House's career has been derailed since he first experienced shoulder problems during in the 2015 campaign. He has pitched just 4.2 innings in the big leagues over the past two-plus seasons and hasn't posted inspiring numbers in the minors during that time either.

White Sox's T.J. House: Inks NRI deal with White Sox
House signed a minor-league contract with the White Sox which includes an invitation to spring training, James Fegan of The Athletic Chicago reports.
As has been the case in each of the previous three seasons, House spent most of the 2017 campaign in the minors, compiling a 4.32 ERA and 1.59 WHIP across 24 starts (133.1 innings) with Triple-A Buffalo. He enjoyed another brief stint in the majors, allowing one run across a pair of relief appearances (2.0 innings) with the Blue Jays before being designated for assignment and sent back to the minors. House will fight for a spot on the White Sox's Opening Day roster, though he'll more likely open the season as organizational pitching depth.

T.J. House: Goes to free agency
House has decided to explore free agency, Brandon Warne of The Athletic reports.
A starter when he initially emerged from the minor-league ranks, House has most recently worked out of the bullpen in his latest brief stints in the majors. He will attempt to make an impression during spring training to latch onto a major-league roster next season.

Blue Jays' T.J. House: Demoted Sunday
House was designated for assignment Sunday.
House was promoted to the big leagues Aug. 19 but has made two just relief appearances with the Blue Jays, allowing one run over two innings of work. The 27-year-old held a 4.27 ERA over 130.2 innings as a starter with Triple-A Buffalo this season, as well. He'll report back to Buffalo if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

Blue Jays' T.J. House: Recalled from Buffalo
House was called up from Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday, Arash Madani of Sportsnet.ca reports.
House has only appeared in eight major-league games since the beginning of the 2015 season, all coming with the Indians. Throughout 23 starts with Buffalo this year, the left-hander has posted a 4.27 ERA and 1.58 WHIP with a 104:62 K:BB. He will slide into the bullpen with the Blue Jays and figures to be used as a middle reliever.

Blue Jays' T.J. House: Eyes spot start for next week
House is a top candidate to make a spot start next week if the team's injury-plagued pitching staff is unable to fill the rotation, Mark Zwolinski of the Toronto Star reports.
House is 3-1 with an impressive 1.64 ERA and 1.27 WHIP over four starts this season for Triple-A Buffalo. With J.A. Happ (elbow) and Aaron Sanchez (finger) currently shelved, the right-hander could be in line to make his Blue Jays debut. Mat Latos and Casey Lawrence remain options to fill any gaps, but they've been unimpressive in their early opportunities this year.

Blue Jays' T.J. House: Returning to form after spring injury
House said he is "feeling a bit more normal" after returning to the mound from a scary injury during spring training, Amy Moritz of The Buffalo News reports.
A line drive struck House in the head during a Grapefruit League game against the Tigers, causing the 27-year-old to remain on the ground for 10 minutes before being rushed to the hospital. Monday afternoon, a month to the day of his injury, House returned to game action and tossed five scoreless innings in his season debut. The biggest victory may have been overcoming the fear of returning to the mound. Hearing the ball coming off the bat could cause anyone in House's situation to get a bit jittery, but his sense of normalcy is returning. "I think at this point I've kind of moved on to the stage where it's not as jumpy when the ball comes off the bat," House said. "I'm feeling a bit more normal. It's nice." A few months of solid performances in the minors could certainly push House into the big-league bullpen later this year.

Blue Jays' T.J. House: Returning to game action soon
Manager John Gibbons said House, who was struck in the head by a line drive on March 10, is recovering nicely and should return to game action soon, MLB.com's Paul Hagen reports.
House started 18 games in 2014 for Cleveland, but he's logged just 15.2 innings in the majors over the past two seasons. The southpaw's ability to sit down left-handed hitters, combined with a fine 2.84 career FIP, bodes well for his chances of filling a specialist role out of the Jays' bullpen later this season. Look for House to reappear on the MLB stage by mid-summer.

Blue Jays' T.J. House: Stretchered off after being struck by liner
House was stretchered off the field after being struck in the back of the head by a line drive in Friday's Grapefruit League game, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet reports.
The game was called off after the scary incident and House was immediately taken to a local hospital. The 27-year-old gave a thumbs up to the crowd as he was taken away, an encouraging sign to say the least. He's competing for a spot in the Blue Jays' bullpen after spending last season in the Cleveland organization.

Blue Jays' T.J. House: Expects to make full recovery
House (head) said on Twitter that he expects to make a full recovery.
A line drive struck House in the back of the head during Friday's Grapefruit League game and he was taken to the local hospital for a full evaluation. House described it as the scariest moment of his career, but fortunately, it seems he's going to be OK. Manager John Gibbons said House was moving and talking the entire time as they awaited the ambulance.

Blue Jays' T.J. House: Signs minor league deal with Jays
House signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays on Wednesday that includes an invitation to spring training, Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith reports.
He will compete in spring training for one of the lefty reliever spots. House has a career 4.44 ERA, but he has a 2.84 FIP, 1.18 WHIP and 15.6 percent K-BB% in 34 career innings against left-handed hitters.

T.J. House: Finalizing deal with Toronto
House, who was being looked at by the Twins, is now expected to sign with the Blue Jays, Darren Wolfson of ESPN 1500 reports.
The 27-year-old southpaw showed promise with Cleveland back in 2014 as a member of their starting rotation. That year, he pitched 102 innings over 18 starts and one relief appearance and posted a 3.35 ERA. House was sidelined for most of 2015 due to shoulder inflammation, and spent a majority of 2016 with Triple-A Columbus. Over 72.1 innings (12 starts and 21 relief appearances), House managed a 3.98 ERA, but struggled with his control, posting a 5.4 BB/9 that led to an ugly 1.83 WHIP. He'll likely start the 2017 campaign with Triple-A Buffalo, but House should have a fair chance at earning his way back to the big league mound.

Indians' T.J. House: Outrighted to Triple-A
House was outrighted to Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Paul Hoynes reports.
He was designated for assignment earlier this month and will now be outrighted to Triple-A, making him eligible for minor league free agency. It was only a couple years ago when House was a trendy late-round pick after a quality 102-inning run in the big league rotation, but his production took a big dip in 2015, and he worked primarily as a reliever this season at Triple-A.

House was optioned back to Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.
House was recently recalled from Columbus on Saturday, but didn't get any time on the field in this stint with the big league club. The 26-year-old has posted a 4.23 ERA with a 1.80 WHIP during the season with Columbus, but could go back to Cleveland again before the end of the season, as the right-hander has bounced between the teams a couple of times this season.

House was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Thursday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
The left-handed House has only appeared in four games with the Indians this season, notching a 3.38 ERA with two strikeouts and six hits allowed over 2.2 innings of work. With House gone, the Indians will be working with a short bullpen that does not feature a lefty. The Indians recalled infielder Erik Gonzalez in a corresponding move Thursday.

House hasn't necessarily been spectacular in the minors this season, as the lefty has surrendered a 4.45 ERA and 1.80 WHIP over 19 appearances (12 starts) for Columbus. He'll likely take on a role as a lefty specialist, similar to that of Tom Gorzellany, who was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.
