Well, so much for that. The superfight for the 185-pound title between Michael Bisping and Georges St-Pierre is no longer being pursued, according to UFC president Dana White.

"I made this GSP fight, we did a press conference. The thing was supposed to happen in July. Michael Bisping is going to have to defend his title now. We're not waiting for GSP," White told FOX Sports Australia's "UFC Fight Week."

"(Yoel) doesn't need to voice his opinion on why he needs a title shot. He definitely deserves a title shot. He's next in line, he's the No. 1 ranked guy in the world."

As White mentioned, they were expecting Bisping-GSP to headline either of UFC's PPV cards in July, but GSP said he wouldn't be ready to fight until the fall at the earliest. Then this week, St-Pierre said he's ready to fight Bisping at any time ... after October.

Now, without a main event for UFC 213 currently on the docket, you have to imagine Bisping-Romero is a fight that gets added to the first July card. It's just a rough look to have the press conference and start to build this fight up as one with real potential, only to have it scrapped two months later for no reason other than one guy wasn't ready to get back in just yet.
