The Charlotte Hornets are owned by a guy named Michael Jordan. You might have heard of him, or at the very least seen his picture. You know that meme people are always tweeting of a guy crying? Well, that's Michael Jordan. Anyways, he was also pretty good at basketball. He played for the Wizards after spending some time with the Bulls, and even has his own brand, the Jordan Brand. They sell shoes, mostly, but also plenty of other sports apparel.

And, starting next season, they're going to be supplying the Charlotte Hornets' jerseys, making the Hornets the only squad in the league to rock Jordan Brand. Via the Hornets' press release:

The re-opening of the Hornets Fan Shop will coincide with the launch of the team's new Jordan Brand uniforms as Nike becomes the NBA's uniform provider beginning this season.  The Hornets will be the only team in the NBA wearing Jordan Brand uniforms, and with the agreement taking effect, the Hornets Fan Shop will have even more of the popular Jordan Brand Hornets merchandise than it has had previously.

That works out nicely, having an owner with his own brand that can supply the Hornets with jerseys. I bet the other teams in the league are all going to be pretty jealous that the Hornets don't have to go out and find someone to sponsor them. I mean, I know you can usually find a restaurant or a bar that will help you out, but still, that's a lot of extra work.
