First things first.
Chris Bosh may miss Game 3 against the Knicks Thursday as he flew home to Miami in the middle of the night as his wife prepared to give birth to a baby boy. Bosh flew on a private plane back to Miami and his wife Adrienne posted on a social media site, "hurry home." Then shortly after 9 a.m. she posted on Twitter, "From a Dream, To a Thought, To Reality, To being in our Arms :) Thank you all for the Positive wishes & thoughts!"
Bosh has not officially been ruled out for Game 3, but with him being in Miami and the game in New York, it's certainly doubtful. If he is unable to make it back, the Heat have options, including starting LeBron James at power forward as Carmelo Anthony will be in that spot since Amar'e Stoudemire is out. And then move Mike Miller or Shane Battier into the small forward spot.
According to NBA.com, Bosh is expected to return to the team for the game tonight.
Bosh had previously told media that he was ready to leave at a moment's notice.
"I've got a beeper so when it goes off, I'll be ready," Bosh said. "It's an exciting time, I'm trying to compete for a championship and prepare for new life. It is a busy time in the Bosh household."
The Heat lead 2-0 over the Knicks.
