After Derrick Rose self described the New York Knicks as a super team in the summer, they looked anything but that against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday, losing by 29 points. Now the Cavs were especially amped since they had just received their championships rings but the Knicks in general, just looked overwhelmed and unsure of themselves for large portions of the game.

It was after all just one game and the Cavs are the defending champions but Rose summed up the Knicks' performance pretty accurately on Thursday:

Tell us how you really feel, Derrick!

But Rose isn't wrong either. The Knicks had some bright spots. Rose himself, had some nice moments when attacked the basket. Carmelo Anthony can still clearly be a top scorer in the league. And for the most part, Joakim Noah seemed like the Joakim Noah of old. Despite these positive signs, the Knicks overall didn't play well on Tuesday.

New York's bench seems sub-par, Kristaps Porzingis was not involved as much as he should've been and the Knicks defense was atrocious at times. But again this was just one game and with all of the new faces in New York (coaches and players), it will take some time for the Knicks to gel together.
