The Los Angeles Lakers reached an agreement with Xavier Henry on a one-year, $1 million contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Henry averaged 10 points and 2.7 rebounds for Los Angeles last year, averaging 21.1 minutes in 43 appearances. He wasn't the most efficient player, but his ability to get to the rim stood out with the Lakers. His emergence was a nice storyline before his season was derailed by a series of injuries.

For Los Angeles, Resigning Henry for just $1 million is more than fair, and he'll be hoping that his play merits a raise next summer. Overall, though, the Lakers' offseason has been ... strange. General manager Mitch Kupchak needs to acquire a defender or two before training camp if he wants the team to be even somewhat competitive.
