According to multiple reports, the Celtics have re-signed power forward Chris Wilcox.

Wilcox was part of the team last season but had his year cut short because of a heart ailment. He appeared in 28 games last season, averaging 5.4 points and 4.4 rebounds over 17.2 minutes per game.

Wilcox adds much-needed frontcourt depth to the Celtics, adding some veteran interior size to go along with draft picks Jared Sullinger and Fab Melo. Before the heart issue sidelined him last season, Wilcox was having a pretty productive season in limited minutes off Boston's bench.

Only recently did Wilcox return to basketball activities after being cleared by doctors to begin working out again after his procedure.
