James Harden and Mike D'Antoni are the masterminds behind one of the greatest offenses the NBA has ever seen. Their speed, ability to draw fouls and efficiency have made waves across the NBA. However, that offense came to a complete halt in Game 6 of Rockets-Spurs. Harden doesn't look like himself and every adjustment D'Antoni has made has blown up in his face.

Then there was that perfect moment. A camera shot to the bench of a banged-up Harden and befuddled D'Antoni sitting alone together looking completely stumped as what to do next. It was poetic.

Those are two defeated men. Harden has been battling injuries for months now and it really looked as if he fell apart in the biggest game of the season, with the Rockets on the brink of elimination. D'Antoni is spinning his board around like that's what he wishes he could be doing to the entire arena right now. This wasn't supposed to happen with Kawhi Leonard out for San Antonio. Up is down. Down is up. The Rockets can't shoot.

These two had an incredible year together, but the end they are reaching is going to put them under the microscope again. Both Harden and D'Antoni are a lightning rods for divisive opinions. When something goes wrong for them it always seems to be double that of the average coach and star. However, that's what happens after a performance like this during an elimination game at home.
