Portland Trail Blazers power forward Thomas Robinson has torn a ligament in his right thumb and will miss the remainder of summer league, the team announced on Tuesday.

In three games in Las Vegas, Robinson averaged 13.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 50 percent from the field. This is his third summer league, and the idea was for him to focus on his role of rebounding and being an energy guy. This is a bit of a setback in that regard.

The injury occurred in the third quarter of Portland's game against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday. He told reporters he was "fine" after the game, via the Oregonian, so this news must have been a surprise.
