Kidd finished with averages of 15 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, and two steals in seven seasons with the Nets when they were in New Jersey, including two Finals appearances. He won the NBA title with the Mavericks in 2011 and is expected to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer as one of the best point guards of all time.

Kidd signed on as the coach of the Nets in June and will serve a suspension to start the season for a 2012 DUI.
