  • Bobby Brown: Leads team off bench

Brown totaled 15 points (6-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds and four assists during Monday's loss to Raptors 905.

The veteran tallied double figures for a third time over the past four games, as Brown converted a season-high three threes in the quarterfinals loss. The 36-year-old averaged 7.3 points and 3.9 assists with the Ignite in the G League this season.

  • Bobby Brown: Adds eight in loss

Brown had eight points (3-6 FG, 2-5 3Pt), one rebound and one assist during Thursday's loss to Westchester.

After failing to score a day prior, Brown bounced back offensively with his second time over his past three outings posting exactly eight points. In three games played so far with the Ignite, Brown is averaging 5.3 points.

  • Bobby Brown: Heads to Adriatic League

Brown agreed to a one-year contract Thursday with KK Mornar Bar of the Adriatic League.

After a seven-year hiatus from the NBA, Brown returned to North America in 2016-17, appearing in 25 contests with the Rockets. He saw action in 20 more games for Houston in 2017-18 before joining Greek club Olympiacos last February. The 34-year-old will continue his career in Europe after signing on with the Montenegrin club and seems unlikely to surface in the NBA again.

  • Bobby Brown: Joins EuroLeague

Brown has agreed to a contract with Olympiacos of the EuroLeague, Chris Mammides of EuroBasket.com reports.

Brown was waived by the Rockets on Feb. 13, though it didn't take him long to find other work. At 33-years-old, it doesn't seem particularly likely he'll attempt an NBA comeback.

  • Bobby Brown: Cut loose by Houston

The Rockets released Brown on Monday, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Though it wasn't officially announced by the Rockets, Brown, who was waived by Houston in January, re-signed with the team. However, after the Rockets picked up Brandan Wright following his buyout from the Grizzlies, there was no room on the roster for Brown. If the 33-year-old is unable to find work elsewhere around the NBA, he may have to head to the G League or overseas to ply his trade.

  • Bobby Brown: Waived by Rockets

Brown will be waived by the Rockets, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

With Gerald Green's emergence in the backcourt as a result of the James Harden injury, the Rockets have elected to guarantee his contract for the season, and as a result, Brown will be waived. Wojnarowski did say that Houston could bring back Brown on a 10-day deal, but with Green and Briante Weber serving as adequate backcourt depth for the time-being, Brown's role in a return would be diminished.

  • Rockets' Bobby Brown: Scores 11 points in Saturday's loss

Brown contributed 11 points (4-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt) and one steal in 22 minutes during Saturday's 103-89 loss to the Grizzlies.

Brown has combined to play 48 minutes over the last two games, this after earning just five minutes in one appearance through the first five regular season affairs. The absence of Eric Gordon (illness) and Chris Paul (knee) allowed Brown the opportunity to see extended action on Saturday, but he'll be hard-pressed to see this type of time on a consistent basis.

  • Rockets' Bobby Brown: Signs one-year contract with Rockets

Brown signed a one-year extension with the Rockets on Thursday, Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston reports.

Brown was a minor contributor for the Rockets during the 2016-17 campaign, helping serve as a backup to Patrick Beverley at point guard with an average of 2.5 points over 4.9 minutes in 25 games. He should play a similar role after signing a one-year extension and while Beverley is no longer with the Rockets, Chris Paul was added in his place, which should leave little to no minutes for Brown.

  • Rockets' Bobby Brown: Highly efficient off bench in Game 4

Brown collected 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt) in just six minutes during Sunday's 125-104 win over the Spurs in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals.

The veteran was out there chucking away Sunday, averaging nearly two points per minute on the floor. Brown's production and role has been minimal throughout the postseason, however, with Sunday's outing marking only the third playoff game he's been part of the rotation. Therefore, it's very likely that this will serve as the high point of Brown's postseason, unless he sees some run in another blowout win or loss.

  • Rockets' Bobby Brown: Near double-double off bench Monday

Brown totaled 15 points (6-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt), nine assists and one steal over 32 minutes in Monday's 125-96 loss to the Clippers.

The veteran guard has consecutive double-digit scoring efforts off the bench after not having accomplished the feat in any prior game this season. Brown's newfound opportunity has come as a result of coach Mike D'Antoni providing Lou Williams with some rest and Patrick Beverley some recovery time for an ailing shoulder. He could see similar run in Wednesday's regular-season finale versus the Timberwolves, but there wouldn't appear to be a spot for him in the postseason rotation.

  • Rockets' Bobby Brown: Drops season-high 16 points Sunday

Brown accumulated a season-high 16 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go with two assists and one rebound across 25 minutes during Sunday's 135-128 victory over the Kings.

Sunday marked the first time that Brown has seen the floor since March 17. The 32-year-old has been buried on the depth chart at point guard all season, but with Eric Gordon, Trevor Ariza and Nene Hilario all sitting out for rest Sunday, he finally had a chance to crack the rotation. The Rockets are locked into the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference and will likely continue to rest some key players over the final two games of the regular season, so Brown is a good bet to see some burn off the bench in those contests. However, it may be difficult to count on him matching the 25 minutes he received Sunday.

  • Rockets' Bobby Brown: Doesn't play in Wednesday's loss

Brown (coach's decision) didn't see the court in a 117-109 loss to the Heat on Wednesday.

Brown hasn't played more than five minutes in any of his 17 appearances on the season, with nearly all of his action coming in garbage time. He's strictly emerging depth at point guard and is unlikely to pop up on the fantasy radar this season.

  • Rockets' Bobby Brown: Excluded from rotation Tuesday

Brown (coach's decision) didn't see the floor in a 109-103 loss to the Heat on Tuesday.

Since re-signing with the Rockets in mid-December, Brown hasn't seen his playing time change much compared to what he had received prior to being waived by the team Dec. 5. While he was active Tuesday with Ryan Anderson (illness) out and Kyle Wiltjer and Chinanu Onuaku on D-League assignment, Brown's standing as the fourth-string point guard unsurprisingly kept him out of the rotation in a tight game. Brown has only appeared in 10 games this season, logging no more than five minutes in any contest.

  • Rockets' Bobby Brown: To re-sign with Rockets Friday

Brown is expected to re-sign with the Rockets on Friday, Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston reports.

With Donatas Motiejunas expected to sign with the Rockets earlier in December, the team opted to cut ties with Brown in order to open a roster spot. However, with Motiejunas' deal falling through, they'll bring the veteran guard back on board, which is expected to become official on Friday. Brown will be no more than a depth option at point guard, sharing bench reps with Tyler Ennis behind the likes of Patrick Beverley and James Harden when he's on the ball.

  • Bobby Brown: To be waived by Rockets

Brown will be waived by the Rockets on Monday, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The Rockets recently matched an offer sheet for Donatas Motiejunas, so with him back in the fold, Brown was deemed the expendable option and will be released to make room. Brown has seen action in just six games this season for the Rockets, but could find interest elsewhere as a veteran depth option in the backcourt.

  • Rockets' Bobby Brown: Inactive for Sunday's win over the Trail Blazers

Brown (coach's decision) was inactive for Sunday's 130-114 win over the Trail Blazers.

Despite entering training camp in the fall on a non-guaranteed contract, Brown defied the odds by making the Rockets' 15-man roster, and after making his season debut Oct. 28 against the Mavericks, it marked the 32-year-old's first NBA appearance in seven seasons. Unfortunately, that's been about the extent of Brown's accomplishments, as he's played in just six of the team's 17 games, logging no more than five minutes in any contest. With the Rockets' backcourt at full health, Brown will remain out of the rotation until further notice.
