Trevor Booker: Officially retires
Booker announced his retirement from the NBA on Tuesday, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.
Now 32 years old, Booker hasn't played since the 2017-18 season, when he saw time with Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Indiana. He spent the bulk of his time with Washington, where he saw 4,764 minutes while averaging 6.4 points and 5.1 rebounds. Booker's 2016-17 campaign with the Nets was the best year of his career. That season, Booker finished 19th in the NBA in field-goal percentage (51.6) and 18th in total rebound percentage (17.2).

Trevor Booker: To undergo foot surgery
Booker is returning to the United States from China to undergo foot surgery, Scott Agness of The Athletic reports.
Booker may be looking to potentially join an NBA team late this season, and he's expected to be fully recovered by that time. He appeared in 68 games last season, averaging 6.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 17.0 minutes.

Trevor Booker: Headed to China
Booker is nearing agreement on a contract with the Shanxi Brave Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association, Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype.com reports.
Booker hasn't generated much interest in free agency from NBA teams this summer, so he appears poised to head overseas for the first time in his career in an attempt to showcase himself for a potential return to North America next spring. The 30-year-old suited up in 68 regular-season contests between the Nets, Pacers and 76ers in 2017-18, averaging 6.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 17.0 minutes per contest.

Booker will start at power forward for Tuesday's regular-season finale against the Hornets.
It was originally reported the Domantas Sabonis would start in place of the resting Thad Young, though the lineup has since been revised and Booker will run with the first unit instead. Booker will likely see a slightly elevated role from the 17.8 minutes he's averaged over the last four games, though he still shouldn't be relied upon for huge minutes considering the Pacers will likely want to keep their veteran as fresh as possible for their upcoming playoff run.

Pacers' Trevor Booker: Posts 11 points as first unit sits on Friday
Booker tallied 11 points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT) six rebounds and a steal in 21 minutes during Friday's 92-73 loss to the Raptors.
Booker should see an increase in minutes for the final two games of the season as it's apparent that the Pacers are going to cap the minutes of their first unit moving forward. Booker will return to his usual reserve role once the playoffs begin.
