  • Trevor Booker: Officially retires

Booker announced his retirement from the NBA on Tuesday, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.

Now 32 years old, Booker hasn't played since the 2017-18 season, when he saw time with Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Indiana. He spent the bulk of his time with Washington, where he saw 4,764 minutes while averaging 6.4 points and 5.1 rebounds. Booker's 2016-17 campaign with the Nets was the best year of his career. That season, Booker finished 19th in the NBA in field-goal percentage (51.6) and 18th in total rebound percentage (17.2).

  • Trevor Booker: To undergo foot surgery

Booker is returning to the United States from China to undergo foot surgery, Scott Agness of The Athletic reports.

Booker may be looking to potentially join an NBA team late this season, and he's expected to be fully recovered by that time. He appeared in 68 games last season, averaging 6.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 17.0 minutes.

  • Trevor Booker: Headed to China

Booker is nearing agreement on a contract with the Shanxi Brave Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association, Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype.com reports.

Booker hasn't generated much interest in free agency from NBA teams this summer, so he appears poised to head overseas for the first time in his career in an attempt to showcase himself for a potential return to North America next spring. The 30-year-old suited up in 68 regular-season contests between the Nets, Pacers and 76ers in 2017-18, averaging 6.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 17.0 minutes per contest.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Starting at power forward Tuesday

Booker will start at power forward for Tuesday's regular-season finale against the Hornets.

It was originally reported the Domantas Sabonis would start in place of the resting Thad Young, though the lineup has since been revised and Booker will run with the first unit instead. Booker will likely see a slightly elevated role from the 17.8 minutes he's averaged over the last four games, though he still shouldn't be relied upon for huge minutes considering the Pacers will likely want to keep their veteran as fresh as possible for their upcoming playoff run.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Posts 11 points as first unit sits on Friday

Booker tallied 11 points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-6 FT) six rebounds and a steal in 21 minutes during Friday's 92-73 loss to the Raptors.

Booker should see an increase in minutes for the final two games of the season as it's apparent that the Pacers are going to cap the minutes of their first unit moving forward. Booker will return to his usual reserve role once the playoffs begin.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Available Sunday vs. Clippers

Booker (ankle) is available for Sunday's matchup with the Clippers.

Booker sat out Thursday's game after spraining his ankle earlier in the week but will now return to action. It's unclear if he'll be a full go or if he'll be limited in any fashion. Look for Thad Young or Domantas Sabonis to see a slight minutes increase if Booker is restricted in any fashion.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Listed as game-time call

Booker (ankle) will be a game-time call for Sunday's game against the Clippers, Clifton Brown of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Booker is still nursing a sprained right ankle, but the hope is that he'll be cleared to play after missing Thursday's game in Sacramento. Official word likely won't come until close to the 3:30 p.m. EDT tip.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Out Thursday vs. Kings

Booker (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Kings, Clifton Brown of the Indianapolis Star reports.

Booker logged just two minutes before being pulled from Tuesday's contest with a sprained ankle. After trying to test it out during shootaround Thursday morning, the discomfort is too much to play through. His next shot to get back on the court will be Sunday against the Clippers and in the meantime, Thad Young and Domantas Sabonis could see a few more minutes in the frontcourt.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Questionable for Thursday

Booker (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Kings.

Booker was forced to leave Tuesday's contest early with a sprained right ankle, limiting the big man to just two total minutes. The fact that he hasn't been ruled out entirely a day ahead of Thursday's game is encouraging that the injury isn't anything overly serious, though look for him to test it out during morning shootaround before a final word on his availability is provided. If Booker ends up missing time, both Thad Young and Domantas Sabonis could be in line for a handful more minutes.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Sprains ankle, won't return Tuesday

Booker (ankle) won't return to Tuesday's game against the Warriors.

Booker exited the contest in the first half after suffering a sprained right ankle and after being evaluated during halftime, the decision was made to shut him down for the rest of the game. The exact severity of the ankle sprain is still somewhat unclear, though Booker can now be considered questionable for Thursday's matchup with the Kings for the time being. Guys like Thad Young and Domantas Sabonis could see a slight uptick in minutes if Booker misses time.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Questionable to return Tuesday

Booker sprained his right ankle during Tuesday's game against the Warriors and is questionable to return.

Booker appeared to roll the ankle in the first half of Tuesday's contest, eventually hobbling to the locker room under his own power. He'll likely be reevaluated during halftime, so look for another update to be provided shortly. The Pacers did get Domantas Sabonis (ankle) back for Tuesday's contest, so he should be able to absorb most of Booker's minutes if he can't ultimately return.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Scores 10 points in Wednesday's loss

Booker managed 10 points (5-8 FG), four rebounds, and one steal in 17 minutes during Wednesday's 96-92 loss to the Pelicans.

Booker was the only Pacer to shoot better than 44 percent from the field, as both teams mostly struggled offensively. Booker has provided some depth at a position where the team was severely lacking behind Thaddeus Young, but the 30-year-old backup power forward is only a worthwhile fantasy option in deeper leagues.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Good to go Thursday

Booker (ankle) has been cleared to play in Thursday's matchup with the Raptors.

Booker tweaked his right ankle earlier in the week, but after testing it out during his pregame routine, feels healthy enough to give it a go as usual. It's a solid break for the Pacers, as Booker should help pick up the slack in the frontcourt with Domantas Sabonis (ankle) having been ruled out. Look for a slight uptick in minutes for Booker as long as he doesn't deal with any sort of in-game setbacks.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Game-time call Thursday

Booker (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Thursday's matchup with the Raptors.

Booker is dealing with a sprained right ankle and will test everything out during pregame warmups before a final decision is made on his availability. However, with the Pacers playing at 7:00 p.m. ET, his status should be updated again prior to lineup lock, so his listing as a game-time decision shouldn't be a huge problem for those interested in Booker due to Domantas Sabonis' (ankle) absence.

  • Pacers' Trevor Booker: Questionable with sprained ankle

Booker is questionable for Thursday's contest against the Raptors due to a sprained right ankle.

This is the first news of Booker dealing with an injury, which he likely sustained during the team's most recent game Tuesday against the 76ers. With Domantas Sabonis (ankle) also questionable, Booker could end up seeing extra run if he ends up available and Sabonis ends up on the shelf. If they both end up sidelined, T.J. Leaf and Al Jefferson would probably see expanded roles.
