  • Joffrey Lauvergne: Signs with EuroLeague club

Lauvergne signed with Fenerbahce of the EuroLeague on Friday, Ismail Senol of beIN sports reports.

Lauvergne opting out of his contract with the Spurs was all part of the big man's effort to head overseas. After playing a limited role with the Spurs in 2017-18, Lauvergne should see a lot more playing time and be a key member of Fenerbahce's team this coming season.

  • Joffrey Lauvergne: Declines option, will be free agent

Lauvergne declined his $1.6 million player option for the 2018-19 season Friday and will become a free agent, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

There have been reports that Lauvergne is exploring options to play overseas, and opting out of his current contract with the Spurs certainly supports those notions. Lauvergne has received offers from EuroLeague clubs Barcelona, CSKA Moscow and Fenerbahce. He appeared in 55 games with the Spurs last season, but he averaged just under 10 minutes per game.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Rejoins team after personal absence

Lauvergne (personal) will be available for Game 4 against the Warriors on Sunday, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Lauvergne missed Game 2 and Game 3 while dealing with the loss of a family member. He played just six minutes in Game 1, and that seems like a reasonable outcome for Game 4 as well.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Out again for Game 3

Lauvergne will remain sidelined for Game 3 against the Warriors on Thursday, Paul Garcia of Project Spurs reports.

Lauvergne will be missing a third consecutive contest, as he continues to be listed as out for for personal business reasons. The specifics behind that aren't clear and with the Spurs likely to be outed in four or five games, there's a chance Lauvergne isn't back at all for the duration of the team's playoff experience. His next shot will come on Sunday.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Ruled out for Game 2

Lauvergne will miss Monday's Game 2 against the Warriors due to a personal matter.

The exact reasoning behind Lauvergne's absence isn't known, so it's unclear if this is something that could keep him out of additional contests as well. That said, Lauvergne played just six minutes in Game 1 on Saturday, so his absence shouldn't have a drastic impact on the Spurs' regular rotation.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Hands out three assists in Wednesday's loss

Lauvergne had three points (1-4 FG, 1-2 FT), three assists, and one rebound in nine minutes during Wednesday's 122-98 loss to the Spurs.

Lauvergne has rarely made much of an impact as the fourth center on the team's depth chart. Moreover, there don't figure to be a ton of opportunities for coach Gregg Popovich to utilize him against the Warriors in round one of the playoffs.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Posts 14 points, seven boards in Wednesday's loss

Lauvergne collected 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, and one block in 19 minutes during Wednesday's 121-116 loss to the Pelicans.

Lauvergne stepped up when LaMarcus Aldridge (ankle) was forced to exit the contest, providing excellent per-minute production. With Pau Gasol (knee) and Aldridge both likely to be listed as questionable heading into Saturday's matchup against the Lakers, Lauvergne could be a player to keep an eye on for daily leagues.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Career-high scoring total against former squad

Lauvergne generated 26 points (12-15 FG, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one block across 24 minutes in Tuesday's 117-109 loss to the Nuggets.

The big man and former Nugget went for a career-high point tally against his old squad, and he was able to generate the top score on the Spurs for the night as well. Lauvergne more than doubled up starter Davis Bertans' haul for the night, despite the fact he played three fewer minutes. The 26-year-old's surge represented only his fifth double-digit scoring effort of the campaign, as well as only his second time logging more than 20 minutes. Encouraging as Lauvergne's performance was, it largely came about as a result of LaMarcus Aldridge's second consecutive absence due to knee soreness. If past usage is to be trusted, Lauvergne's minutes are likely to return to the mid-teens while playing behind both Aldridge and Bertans.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Hands out season-high three dimes in Monday's loss

Lauvergne collected three points (1-2 FG, 1-2 FT), three assists, and one rebound in six minutes during Monday's 102-99 loss to the Hawks.

Lauvergne has been quiet lately, appearing in just seven of 12 games since he tallied 11 points and six boards in 26 minutes as a starter during a 100-89 loss versus the Jazz back on Dec. 21. Pau Gasol is dealing with an injury to his shooting hand, and it was Gasol's absence that allowed Lauvergne his last opportunity to start and exceed 15 minutes. If Gasol were to miss Wednesday's matchup against the Nets, Lauvergne could be among those to benefit from a fantasy perspective. Nevertheless, having cleared 20 minutes just twice this season while reaching double figures in scoring only three times through 26 appearances, Lauvergne remains a risky option at best.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Will start at center Thursday

Lauvergne, with Pau Gasol (groin) out, will draw the start at center for Thursday's contest against the Jazz, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Lauvergne will likely see extended run as well. In games where he's seen at least 10 minutes of action, he's posted 7.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Scores 14 off the bench in loss

Lauvergne recorded 14 points (7-8 FG), four rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes during Friday's 124-109 loss to the Rockets.

Lauvergne's previous finger injury on his shooting hand seems to be in good shape as he shot 87.5 percent from the floor in limited action. Despite only playing 15 minutes, he was the second-leading scorer for the Spurs in a game where they were clearly outmatched. With the emergence of Kawhi Leonard and a healthy Pau Gasol, Lauvergne will only see worthy usage when Gasol is rested.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Not on injury report Saturday

Lauvergne (finger) was left off the injury report for Saturday's game against the Suns.

Lauvergne hasn't played in the Spurs' past three games, but will seemingly get a chance to do so Saturday. He's recovered from his injury and Pau Gasol (rest) won't be available.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Listed as probable for Wednesday

Lauvergne (finger) is listed as probable for Wednesday's matchup with the Heat.

Lauvergne was also listed as probable for Monday's contest, but didn't see the court, so the probable designation doesn't necessarily mean he'll ultimately get any playing time. That said, it may be wise to avoid Lauvergne in fantasy leagues for the time being until he's back to full strength. Lauvergne has averaged just 11.3 minutes this season, so he's largely been a non-factor in fantasy anyway.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Probable Monday with finger injury

Lauvergne is dealing with a right middle finger injury, but is listed as probable for Monday's matchup with the Pistons.

Lauvergne is right-handed, so this could potentially hurt his ball handling and shooting ability, though that's not going to stop him from attempting to play through it. Lauvergne played a season-high 23 minutes Sunday with LaMarcus Aldridge (rest) and Rudy Gay (heel) out, but with both players expected back, Lauvergne will likely be limit to minutes in the low teens at best. He can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Says he'll play Wednesday

Lauvergne (ankle) said he'll play Wednesday against the Pelicans, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Lauvergne was initially called questionable by coach Gregg Popovich, but the big man cleared up his status shortly after, stating that the sprained ankle he sustained Monday against Atlanta was only a minor issue. Expect Lauvergne to hold down a small role off the bench, as he's played just 12 total minutes over the last two games.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Questionable Wednesday

Lauvergne re-injured his previously sprained ankle during Monday's game against the Hawks and his status is uncertain for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Lauvergne missed a 10-game stretch earlier in the year due to an ankle sprain. After recovering, he was averaging just 7.5 minutes per game in the four contests he suited up for. So, if he's held out Wednesday, the Spurs' rotation shouldn't be too different.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Active Tuesday vs. Mavericks

Updating a previous report, Lauvergne (ankle) will be active for Tuesday's matchup with the Mavericks, Tom Orsborn of San Antonio Express-News reports.

Coach Gregg Popovich ruled Lauvergne out earlier Tuesday, but apparently that won't be the case and the big man will now be activated. That said, that doesn't necessarily guarantee that Lauvergne will take the court and after missing the last 10 games, he's likely only going to see a handful of minutes to ease him back into the action if he does play.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Ruled out Tuesday

Lauvergne (ankle) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Mavericks, Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

After being considered probably heading into the week, Lauvergne will now miss his 11th straight game Tuesday. It's unclear whether or not the big man suffered a setback, but with the Spurs entering a back-to-back set Tuesday, Lauvergne should be considered questionable-at-best for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Officially questionable for Tuesday

Lauvergne (ankle) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Mavericks, Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com reports.

Lauvergne was originally viewed as probable on Sunday, as coach Gregg Popovich said that he would be surprised if he was inactive Tuesday. However, following Monday's practice, the team didn't provide much clarity on the big man's status. Expect another update to come on Lauvergne following the Spurs' shootaround Tuesday morning.

  • Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Expected to play Tuesday

Lauvergne (ankle) should be considered probable for Tuesday's game against the Mavericks, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports. Coach Gregg Popovich noted that he would be "surprised" if the big man is not able to play.

Lauvergne has missed the team's past 10 games while nursing a right ankle sprain. More updates regarding his status should come in the following days, though it seems probable he'll take the floor. In the three games he has played this year, he's posted 6.0 points and 5.3 rebounds across 15.3 minutes per contest, making him a fringe fantasy option.
