Joffrey Lauvergne: Signs with EuroLeague club
Lauvergne signed with Fenerbahce of the EuroLeague on Friday, Ismail Senol of beIN sports reports.
Lauvergne opting out of his contract with the Spurs was all part of the big man's effort to head overseas. After playing a limited role with the Spurs in 2017-18, Lauvergne should see a lot more playing time and be a key member of Fenerbahce's team this coming season.

Joffrey Lauvergne: Declines option, will be free agent
Lauvergne declined his $1.6 million player option for the 2018-19 season Friday and will become a free agent, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
There have been reports that Lauvergne is exploring options to play overseas, and opting out of his current contract with the Spurs certainly supports those notions. Lauvergne has received offers from EuroLeague clubs Barcelona, CSKA Moscow and Fenerbahce. He appeared in 55 games with the Spurs last season, but he averaged just under 10 minutes per game.

Spurs' Joffrey Lauvergne: Career-high scoring total against former squad
Lauvergne generated 26 points (12-15 FG, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one block across 24 minutes in Tuesday's 117-109 loss to the Nuggets.
The big man and former Nugget went for a career-high point tally against his old squad, and he was able to generate the top score on the Spurs for the night as well. Lauvergne more than doubled up starter Davis Bertans' haul for the night, despite the fact he played three fewer minutes. The 26-year-old's surge represented only his fifth double-digit scoring effort of the campaign, as well as only his second time logging more than 20 minutes. Encouraging as Lauvergne's performance was, it largely came about as a result of LaMarcus Aldridge's second consecutive absence due to knee soreness. If past usage is to be trusted, Lauvergne's minutes are likely to return to the mid-teens while playing behind both Aldridge and Bertans.

Lauvergne has been quiet lately, appearing in just seven of 12 games since he tallied 11 points and six boards in 26 minutes as a starter during a 100-89 loss versus the Jazz back on Dec. 21. Pau Gasol is dealing with an injury to his shooting hand, and it was Gasol's absence that allowed Lauvergne his last opportunity to start and exceed 15 minutes. If Gasol were to miss Wednesday's matchup against the Nets, Lauvergne could be among those to benefit from a fantasy perspective. Nevertheless, having cleared 20 minutes just twice this season while reaching double figures in scoring only three times through 26 appearances, Lauvergne remains a risky option at best.

Lauvergne's previous finger injury on his shooting hand seems to be in good shape as he shot 87.5 percent from the floor in limited action. Despite only playing 15 minutes, he was the second-leading scorer for the Spurs in a game where they were clearly outmatched. With the emergence of Kawhi Leonard and a healthy Pau Gasol, Lauvergne will only see worthy usage when Gasol is rested.
