Jefferson signed a contract Tuesday with Galatasaray S.K. of the Turkish Super League.
After being waived by the Celtics in training camp, Jefferson has opted to try his luck overseas rather than wait for another opportunity to open up at the NBA level. The 27-year-old big man appeared in 30 games with the Magic over the past two seasons, averaging 1.4 points and 1.5 rebounds in 4.7 minutes.

Jefferson provided 19 points (7-9 FG, 4-8 FT), 11 rebounds, three blocks and two assists in 27 minutes during Saturday's win over Grand Rapids.
Jefferson made an impact on both ends of the court in his fourth game with his new team. Since joining Lakeland, the 26-year-old is averaging 22.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.8 blocks in 32.3 minutes.
