LeVert finished with five points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, three assists and one steal across 26 minutes during Saturday's 112-89 loss to the Magic in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. LeVert's three-point shot failed him in Game 4, and he's now shooting just 23.5 percent from deep during the postseason. He should continue to operate as Cleveland's top bench option, but LeVert has scored in double figures just once through four postseason games after averaging 17.9 points on 54.3 percent shooting across his final seven regular-season appearances.... Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Solid outing in Game 3 loss
LeVert logged 15 points (5-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one block over 29 minutes during Thursday's 121-83 loss to the Magic in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. LeVert benefited from the game being a blowout to deliver a decent stat line, and it's worth noting he also logged more than 25 minutes off the bench for the first time in the series. LeVert should remain the Cavaliers' main scoring weapon off the bench, but in that role and given the heavy workload the starters tend to endure regularly, his upside in DFS and playoff slates isn't very high. He's averaging 9.3 points per game while shooting 35.7 percent from the field in the series.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Not on injury report
LeVert (knee) isn't on the injury report for Saturday's Game 1 against the Magic. LeVert missed the Cavaliers' regular-season finale due to left knee soreness, but he'll be back in action as the team begins postseason play Saturday. Over six regular-season appearances in April, he averaged 18.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 29.7 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Out against Hornets
LeVert (knee) won't play against the Hornets on Sunday. LeVert will be held out due to soreness in his left knee, but the Cavaliers are most likely just resting him in advance of the postseason. The 29-year-old finishes the regular season with averages of 14.0 points, 5.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 1.6 three-pointers and 1.1 steals in 28.8 minutes per game over 68 appearances.... See More ... Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Leads bench in scoring Wednesday
LeVert closed Wednesday's 110-98 win over Memphis with 18 points (6-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals over 28 minutes. LeVert retreated to the bench Wednesday with Donovan Mitchell returning from a one-game absence. LeVert still managed to get his looks on offense and extended his streak of double-digit scoring to six games. Over that span, he has averaged 18.2 points on 55.1 percent shooting, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals over 30.7 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Returns to bench
LeVert isn't in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Grizzlies. Donovan Mitchell will reclaim his starting spot from LeVert on Wednesday after missing Cleveland's previous contest due to left knee injury management. LeVert is averaging 14.4 points, 4.6 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 29.4 minutes across his last five outings coming off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Scores 18 points in start
LeVert finished Sunday's 120-118 loss to the Clippers with 18 points (7-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 37 minutes. LeVert was inserted into the Cavaliers' starting lineup Sunday due to Donovan Mitchell sitting to rest his knee. LeVert hit a trio of threes for the first time since March 11 against the Suns, and he has scored in double digits in each of his last five games. LeVert should see extended playing time over Cleveland's last three regular season games if Mitchell continues to sit.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Will start Sunday
LeVert will start Sunday's game against the Clippers. With Donovan Mitchell (rest) out, LeVert will slide back into Cleveland's starting lineup. Across his previous nine starts this season, LeVert has averaged 16.0 points, 7.6 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 34.0 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Impresses off bench Saturday
LeVert had 21 points (8-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 28 minutes during Saturday's 116-97 loss to the Lakers. The Cavaliers struggled badly on the offensive end of the court, but LeVert made his presence felt despite coming off the bench by recording his 15th game with 20 or more points this season. LeVert will continue to have decent fantasy upside despite his bench role due to his scoring prowess. He's scored 15 or more points in three of his last four appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Shifts back to bench
LeVert won't start Wednesday's game against the Suns. LeVert drew the spot start last time out with Donovan Mitchell getting a night off. However, with Mitchell available, LeVert will retreat to his typical bench role. He should still see upwards of 30 minutes against Phoenix.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Leads team with 26 points
LeVert closed Tuesday's 129-113 victory over the Jazz with 26 points (9-13 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 34 minutes. LeVert drew the start in the backcourt as Donovan Mitchell (injury management) took the front end of a back-to-back off. LeVert has been dealing with a wrist injury recently, but he logged a full game and his shooting stroke showed no ill effects. The Cavaliers will play another back-to-back set this weekend, and we may see Mitchell sit for one of the games.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Starting sans Mitchell
LeVert is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Jazz, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. LeVert will replace Donovan Mitchell (knee) in the starting five Tuesday. LeVert is averaging 12.8 points, 7.4 assists, 5.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 33.2 minutes across his last five starting appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Strong showing from second unit
LeVert racked up 15 points (5-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and four steals in 33 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 130-101 loss to the Nuggets. With Donovan Mitchell back in action, LeVert returned to the second unit Wednesday, but he still produced a strong line in the box score against Denver, and his four steals tied his season high. Through 14 games in March, half of them starts, the veteran guard averaged 11.9 points, 7.4 assists, 4.8 boards, 1.7 steals and 1.3 threes despite shooting just 37.5 percent from the floor and 26.1 percent from beyond the arc.... Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Good to go Sunday
LeVert (wrist) has been cleared for Sunday's game against Denver. LeVert will return from a one-game absence due to right wrist soreness. Isaac Okoro (toe) will be inactive Sunday, representing a notable subtraction from Cleveland's cast of forwards. LeVert has averaged 17.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists in seven games without Okoro this season, and while the latter's absence might not be the only correlation to his scoring performance, LeVert's usage should receive a slight uptick.... Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Expected to play
LeVert (wrist) is probable to play Sunday against the Nuggets. LeVert missed his first game since early March on Friday against the 76ers, but the wing is expected back in the lineup against Denver. LeVert has struggled mightily in his last three appearances, scoring a combined 13 points.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Won't play Friday
LeVert (wrist) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Philadelphia, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports. LeVert is dealing with a sore right wrist and will be unavailable for the first time since early March. Sam Merrill and Max Strus could see additional playing time in his absence, while LeVert's next chance to return will be Sunday against the Nuggets.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Questionable for Friday
LeVert is questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers due to right wrist soreness. LeVert hasn't missed a game since early March, and he's seen plenty of playing time this month. However, he's been held in check recently, averaging 4.3 points, 5.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 27.7 minutes per game over his last three appearances. It's unclear whether his wrist issue has contributed to his struggles, but his status for Friday's game is up in the air in the hours leading up to tipoff.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Back to bench
LeVert isn't in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Hornets, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports. Max Strus will replace LeVert in the starting lineup Wednesday after missing time with a knee injury. LeVert is averaging 12.2 points, 7.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 32.4 minutes across his last five appearances coming off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Notches double-double vs. Heat
LeVert had 16 points (4-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five rebounds, 12 assists, one block and two steals over 37 minutes in Wednesday's 107-104 loss to the Heat. LeVert now has six double-doubles on the season and has reached that mark in each of his last three starts. He's moved into the starting lineup with Donovan Mitchell set to miss time due to a nasal fracture. LeVert is averaging 13.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 8.6 assists and 1.9 steals over 33.1 minutes per game in March.... See More ... See Less -
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Teases triple-double Monday
LeVert ended Monday's 108-103 win over the Pacers with 23 points (7-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 8-11 FT), eight rebounds, 11 assists, one block and one steal across 38 minutes. Getting the start in place of Donovan Mitchell (nose), LeVert topped 20 points for the second straight game while grabbing his fifth double-double of the season, four of which have come in his last 11 games. The veteran guard is averaging 13.6 points, 8.5 assists, 5.5 boards, 1.5 steals and 1.5 threes over that stretch as he helps cover for Mitchell's recent injury woes.... See More ... See Less
