Ware hasn't been able to stick in the NBA since leaving Long Beach State in 2013, and he spent last season with Melbourne United in Australia. The 28-year-old is unlikely to earn an NBA roster spot any time soon.

Casper Ware: Gets waived Friday
Ware was waived Friday by the Wizards, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Ware was fourth on the depth chart at point guard for the Wizards and wasn't attending training camp on a fully-guaranteed contract, so it was inevitable that he'd be let go at the conclusion of preseason play. He'll likely head overseas to continue his career.

Wizards' Casper Ware: Signs training camp deal with Wizards
Ware agreed Thursday with the Wizards on a contract for training camp, Tim Bontemps of The Washington Post reports.
Ware, who opened last season with Tianjin Ronggang of the Chinese Basketball Association before concluding his campaign with ASVEL Basket of the French Pro National Basketball League A, will likely be little more than a camp body for the Wizards. The point guard had a brief cup of coffee in the NBA during the 2013-14 season, appearing in nine games for the 76ers. Assuming the 26-year-old is ultimately cut by the Wizards when camp concludes, look for him to find work in the D-League or overseas.
