Nance signed a two-way contract with the Cavaliers on Monday. After getting cut by the Cavaliers in the preseason, Nance stuck in the organization with the G League's Cleveland Charge before landing a 10-day contract from the Cavaliers in January. He appeared in two NBA games during that 10-day stretch, but totaled only four minutes. Even though he's now one of Cleveland's three two-way players, Nance will likely continue to spend most of his time with the Charge, with whom he's averaging 13.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.3 blocks in 31.5 minutes per game over 29 appearances this season.... Pete Nance: Deal with Cleveland expires
Nance's 10-day contract with the Cavaliers expired Sunday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. The Cavaliers could look to bring Nance back on a second 10-day deal before the team plays its next game Monday versus the Clippers, but at least for the time being, the undrafted rookie big man is no longer part of the 15-man roster. Nance made two appearances during his week-and-a-half-long stint on the Cleveland roster, logging just four minutes in total. The Cavaliers retain his G League rights, so even if he isn't re-signed to the NBA roster, Nance will report to the Cleveland Charge.... See More ... See Less -

Cavaliers' Pete Nance: Inks deal with Cleveland
Nance agreed to a 10-day contract with the Cavaliers Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. After going undrafted out of North Carolina in June, Nance caught on with the Cavaliers for training camp and was assigned to their G League affiliate -- the Cleveland Charge -- before being cut ahead of the regular season. He's been a standout performer for the Charge in 2023-24, averaging 13.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.5 three-pointers, 1.5 blocks and 0.8 steals in 30.6 minutes per game over 22 appearances. Nance will add depth to the Cleveland frontcourt for the duration of his contract.... See More ... See Less -
Pete Nance: Let go by Cleveland
Nance was waived by the Cavaliers on Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. Nance was brought in Sept. 13 to compete for a roster spot, but he'll fall to the waiver wire following Saturday's flurry of moves. Assuming he clears waivers, he'll be in position to report to the organization's G League team, the Cleveland Charge.... See More ... See Less
