Queta tallied 19 points (8-11 FG, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds, six blocks and one assist in 20 minutes off the bench in Sunday's 132-122 win over the Wizards. With Boston resting all five of its usual starters along with top reserve big man Al Horford in the season finale, Queta was one of several Celtics reserves who stepped into enlarged roles. After tallying 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals in just 18 minutes in Friday's 131-98 win over the Hornets, Queta came through with another huge line during his limited time on the court. Though he was recently converted from a two-way deal to a standard NBA contract, Queta will likely rejoin the G League's Maine Celtics for Game 3 of the G League Finals on Monday versus the Oklahoma City Blue. After that game, Queta will then make his way back to Boston for the start of the Celtics' postseason run.... See More ... See Less

Celtics' Neemias Queta: Career-high 16 points in return
Queta amassed 16 points (8-10 FG), six rebounds, five assists and two steals over 18 minutes during Friday's 131-98 win over Charlotte. Queta returned to Boston on Friday after spending time in the G League with the Maine Celtics. With Boston locked into the best record in the NBA, the team opted to sit all five of its starters and Al Horford (toe), which gave Queta and the rest of the bench players extended playing time Friday. Queta took advantage of the opportunity, scoring a career-high 16 points on just 10 field-goal attempts. He will likely see a similar workload in the Celtics' regular-season finale against the Wizards on Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Recalled by Boston
Boston recalled Queta from the G League's Maine Celtics on Friday, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. Queta grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds during Maine's loss to the Oklahoma City Blue during Game 2 of the G League Finals on Thursday. He signed a standard contract with the Celtics on Monday and will join the parent club for the final two games of the regular season this weekend. Over 26 appearances with Boston this year, he's averaged 4.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 11.4 minutes per game. Queta figures to return to the G League club ahead of Game 3 on Monday.... See More ... Celtics' Neemias Queta: Inks deal with Boston
Queta agreed to a standard contract with the Celtics on Monday, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. Queta will be eligible for the postseason after securing the team's 15th roster spot. He's appeared in 26 games this season for Boston, averaging 4.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 11.4 minutes. Despite signing a standard contract, Queta remains with the G League's Maine Celtics and is expected to play for the team in Game 1 of the G League Finals versus the Oklahoma City Blue on Tuesday.... Celtics' Neemias Queta: Gets garbage-time burn
Queta (knee) scored one point (0-1 FG, 1-2 FT) and added one rebound, one assist and one block over two minutes Monday in the Celtics' 121-99 win over the Trail Blazers. Queta and fellow deep reserves JD Davison and Jaden Springer didn't enter the game until 1:54 remained in the fourth quarter, when the Celtics had essentially clinched the win. The appearance was Queta's first at the NBA level since Feb. 14, with the third-year center having recently missed about a week of action due to a hyperextended knee. The two-way center is approaching the maximum number of active games he's allotted at the NBA level this season, so Queta could soon be headed to the G League's Maine Celtics to pick up playing time.... Celtics' Neemias Queta: Available Saturday
Queta (knee) is available for Saturday's matchup with the Suns. Queta was originally listed as probable for Saturday's contest after he had missed the Celtics' previous three contests with a hyperextended knee. Before sustaining the injury, Queta hadn't been a part of the Celtics' rotation, so he won't be guaranteed to see the court Saturday even with Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) ruled out.... Celtics' Neemias Queta: Expected to play
Queta (knee) is probable for Saturday's game against the Suns. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla said March 3 that Queta was week-to-week, so it appears that he's going to beat his timetable. His return won't have a lot of fantasy implications, as he's averaged 12.3 minutes in 23 total appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Week-to-week with knee injury
Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla said Sunday that Queta (knee) will be sidelined for "a week or two," Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. Queta logged just 18 minutes of G League action in the Maine Celtics' victory over the Wisconsin Herd on Friday, exiting early due to a right knee hyperextension. Mazzulla noted that the injury is "nothing serious," but the 7-foot, 245-pound big appears set for a multi-game absence nonetheless.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Out with knee injury
Queta has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Warriors due to a hyperextended right knee, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports. Queta, a two-way player, has been playing in the G League's Maine Celtics since the All-Star break, and he appears to have suffered the injury in Friday's win over the Wisconsin Herd.... See More ... Celtics' Neemias Queta: Produces in limited action
Queta registered eight points (4-4 FG), eight rebounds and two steals in 10 minutes during Sunday's 131-91 victory over the Grizzlies. Queta played only 10 minutes, but that didn't stop him from flirting with a double-double. He also recorded a season-high two steals. He's played double-digit minutes in five straight games, averaging 6.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 11.8 minutes during that stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Double-double off bench Saturday
Queta supplied 14 points (4-7 FG, 6-8 FT), 12 rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 145-108 win over the Clippers. The 24-year-old center put together the best performance of his career as he took advantage of the absence of Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) and Luke Kornet (thigh). Queta's only two career double-doubles have come in the last three games, and while he's putting himself on the radar as a bargain DFS option as long as Boston's frontcourt remains shorthanded, he'll need to show more consistency to be worth a roster spot in most season-long formats.... Celtics' Neemias Queta: Hauls in 10 rebounds
Queta finished with seven points (3-8 FG, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds and one steal over 15 minutes during Sunday's 113-103 win over Atlanta. Kristaps Porzingis (calf) is expected to miss at least a week, so Al Horford started at center, and Queta picked up 15 minutes off the bench compared to nine minutes for Luke Kornet. Queta made a positive impact in just his second appearance of the season, and he may get more opportunities as a result.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Makes season debut
Queta logged five minutes off the bench in Sunday's 102-100 win over the Grizzlies, missing his only field-goal attempt and grabbing two rebounds. Queta was sidelined for each of the Celtics' first 10 games with a right foot injury before he was finally cleared to play ahead of Wednesday's 117-107 win over the 76ers. He didn't play in that contest and also sat out Friday's 108-105 win over Toronto, but Queta got the chance to make his Boston debut Sunday in a narrow win. The seven-foot center will likely be an irregular part of the rotation moving forward, but with veteran Al Horford being a candidate to sit out the second half of a back-to-back set Monday in Charlotte, Queta and Luke Kornet could both be in line for minutes.... Celtics' Neemias Queta: Iffy for Wednesday
Queta (foot) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Philadelphia, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports. Queta has missed eight straight games due to a right foot injury, but this is the first time he's been listed as questionable, suggesting he's making at least some improvement. However, even when he's cleared, it's unclear if he'll be part of coach Joe Mazzulla's rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Won't play Monday
Queta (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Knicks. Queta continues to deal with a right foot injury and will be unavailable for an eighth consecutive game. A timetable for his return isn't yet clear.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Still sidelined Friday
Queta (foot) won't play in Friday's game versus the Nets, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports. Queta's absence streak will extend to six games while dealing with a right foot injury. His next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with Toronto.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Remains out
Queta (foot) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup against the 76ers, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports. Queta is slated to miss a fifth straight game. His continued absence shouldn't impact the Celtics' rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Still out
Queta (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Timberwolves. Queta is slated to miss a fourth straight game. However, his continued absence shouldn't impact the Celtics' rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Remains out Saturday
Queta (foot) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Nets, Steve Hewitt of the Boston Herald reports. Queta continues to deal with a foot issue and will be unavailable for a third consecutive game. However, his continued absence shouldn't impact the Celtics' rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Celtics' Neemias Queta: Officially out
Queta (foot) won't play in Wednesday's game against Indiana, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports. Queta will miss a second consecutive contest with right foot soreness. He was not a part of the Celtics' rotation when healthy. His next chance to play will come Saturday at Brooklyn.... See More ... See Less
