  • Josh Childress: Waived by Nuggets

Childress was waived Thursday by the Nuggets, Harrison Wind of BSN Denver reports.

Childress signed with the team a month ago after not playing in the NBA for four years, but he was seen as a long shot to make the team's final roster despite his impressive stint in the BIG3 league as a member of the "Ball Hogs." Expect the 34-year-old to now return to playing overseas following his release.

  • Nuggets' Josh Childress: Agrees to deal with Denver

Childress and the Nuggets agreed to a contract Tuesday, Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders reports.

The details of Childress' contract aren't known, but considering the 2004 sixth overall pick is now 34 years old and hasn't appeared in the NBA since 2013-14, it's not expected that his deal is fully guaranteed. The swingman has bounced around the globe the last few seasons, spending time with teams in Australia, the G League, Japan and most recently, as a member of the "Ball Hogs" three-on-three squad in the BIG3 league. While the Nuggets apparently came away impressed by Childress' showing in the BIG3, he'll still face an uphill battle to see minutes at the NBA level this season, as he'll likely be a deep reserve for the Nuggets if he's able to secure a roster spot out of training camp.
