Report: Rob Gronkowski (arm) out for game

By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Writer

After missing five games late in the season with a broken forearm, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski returned for Week 17 with a huge cast on his left arm. Now, in the first quarter of the Patriots-Texans divisional playoffs matchup, it appears he hurt it again.

According to NFL.com's Albert Breer, Gronkowski will not return to the game. The team has not said anything other than that Gronkowski is questionable to return.

While diving for a potential catch on the sideline in the first quarter, Gronkowski landed on his arm, and he immediately came out of the game. He stayed on the sideline in obvious pain as trainers checked him, but a few minutes later, Gronkowski returned to the locker room for X-rays.

In other Patriots injury news, running back Danny Woodhead injured a thumb, and his return was questionable.
