Bears list inactives for Week 8
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com

The Bears have listed LB Lance Briggs, LB Jon Bostic, OL Jordan Mills, S Danny McCray, CB Terrance Mitchell, DB Ahmad Dixon and OL Charles Leno, Jr. as inactive Week 8 against the Patriots.

The Bears will be without a couple notable defensive players. Both Briggs and Bostic will need more time to recover, leaving the team thin at linebacker. Jordan Mills will also miss the contest, hurting the offensive line.

Aside from safety Danny McCray (knee), who has been ruled out, and doubtful linebackers Jon Bostic (back) and Lance Briggs (ribs), the Bears are in good shape heading into their Sunday game at New England.

The only other Bear not listed as probable on their Friday injury report is tackle Jordan Mills (foot), who is questionable. The probables are wideout Wallace Williams (illness), safety Chris Conte (shoulder), tight end Martellus Bennett (hamstring) and cornerback Kyle Fuller (hip).

Bears DST comes up big
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com

Overlooked after a poor Week 1 performance, the Bears DST came up big Sunday night at San Francisco. Chicago forced four turnovers by Colin Kaepernick, with rookie corner Kyle Fuller making two fourth-quarter interceptions.

Defensive end Jared Allen forced a fumble, safety Danny McCray recovering. Safety Chris Conte made his second interception of the season before leaving with a shoulder injury. Defensive end Willie Young led a strong pass rush with four sacks.

Riding a lot of momentum, the rejuvenated Bears DST visits the Jets on Monday Night Football in Week 3.
